Purpose
The purpose of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board is to provide recommendations and guidance on behalf of the residents and user groups to the Parks and Recreation Supervisor, City Manager, Mayor, and Commissioners on matters pertaining to parks and recreation in Collegedale inclusive of the Mission Statement..
Mission of Parks and Recreation
To provide places, avenues and recreational opportunities for all people to gather, celebrate, learn, and engage in activities that promote health, well-being, community, and the environment.
Board of Directors
Collegedale Parks & Recreation Advisory Board members are appointed by the Mayor and Commissioners. The 5-member board has knowledge and/or interest in parks, recreation, health and wellness, and development of programs and facilities for input in Collegedale’s Parks and Recreation department. Board members may be residents of Collegedale, own businesses within the city limits, or oversee programming that aligns with the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board Mission Statement.
